Abstract

This Decree establishes a commissary for the coordination of governmental duties, determined by the decision of the International Court of Hague, regarding the Bõs-Nagymaros Barrage System and the utilisation, re-establishment, and protection of natural and environmental values of the Upper Danube and Szigetköz. He also participates in all governmental works which regard the Danube, in particular, as a way of transport and resource of water, water quality, protection against damages caused by water, nature protection, tourism, and country planning. He prepares proposals for the negotiations between Hungary and the Slovak Republic, and for other international agreements regarding the utilisation of the Danube.
