Abstract This Decree approves the Regulation on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. This Regulation, consisting of 3 Chapters, aims at regulating export, import, re-exports, transit and introduction by sea or any other National borders of any animal species listed in annexes I, II and III of CITES within the National territory in order to protect human and environmental health. It is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. I); Certification, import, export, re-export, transit and introduction of endangered animal species (Chap. II); Controls, taxes, offences and penalties (Chap. III).
