Abstract This Veterinary and Sanitary Regulation establishes the rules for poultry growing at poultry farms. Poultry facilities must be located on the leeward side with respect to the residential sector. The territory for accommodation of poultry facilities shall be selected on a dry place. At the same time, there should be ensured the conditions preventing wild birds nesting on the territory of poultry farms. The presence of surface open waterbodies on the territory of poultry farms shall not be allowed. In poultry farms should be provided: (a) veterinary laboratory with a disinfection means warehouse; (b) disinfection unit; (c) sanitary-slaughter station; and (d) room for opening corpses. The territory of poultry organizations is divided into: (a) production area in which poultry storage facilities are located; (b) administrative and economic zone, including buildings and structures of administrative-economic services, facilities for engineering maintenance (garage, technical warehouses, mechanical workshops); (c) zone for storage and preparation of forages; (d) zone for storage and processing of corpses of agricultural poultry and other biological material. Veterinary laboratory and disinfection unit shall be located in the administrative and economic zone. This Veterinary and Sanitary Regulation establishes requirements for sewerage system, microclimate inside poultry growing facilities, control over poultry health, feeding and watering of poultry.
