Abstract The principal Decree concerns information in the form of documents that may be required by public authorities in order to evaluate the possibility to grant an environment permit for activities that may potentially harm the environment. Those activities are listed in Schedule 1. Some smaller installations operating in the basic metal industry are here exempted for the duty to report because their activities do not significantly affect the environment. An environment covenant has been established by and for the basic metal industry in 1992.
