Abstract

This Decree establishes rules and regulations of poultry eggs obtained in organizations, subsidiary smallholding and peasant farms for the purpose of quality and safety control thereof. Vending of eggs for nutritional purposes and for human consumption by citizens shall be authorized at trading places and shops located at market places. Vending at market places shall be prohibited of: (a) waterfowl eggs; (b) eggs with bloodstains; (c) eggs with defective eggshell; and (d) eggs with bad or illegible label, inscription or marking. Poultry eggs shall be classified as dietary (with maximum of 7 days of storage) and table (with maximum 25 days of storage). Each lot of poultry eggs supplied for trade shall be accompanied by veterinary certificate attesting quality and safety thereof.
