Abstract

Item 8.1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Food additives shall be authorized for use in foodstuffs to which flavouring agents in quantities authorized for adding to flavouring agents on condition that food additive does not have any technological function in commodities ready for use. Contents of food additives in flavouring agent shall be limited to minimum required for ensuring safety and quality of flavouring agents and facilitation of storage thereof. The presence of food additives in flavouring agents must not mislead consumers nor represent health risks. If the presence of food additives in flavouring agents has technological function in foodstuffs it shall be considered additive to foodstuffs and not additive to flavouring agent”.
