Abstract

This Decree establishes hygienic requirements for processing and production laboratory testing for fish products ensuring compliance thereof with food quality and food safety requirements and standards. It shall be applicable to coastal fish processing enterprises and fish processing vessels, except for enterprises producing infant food. It shall be applicable to refrigerated, salted, conserved, preserved, concentrated, smoked fish products, caviar and derivates, and animal feed fish products. All the objects that contact with food products shall be subject to mandatory sanitary supervision. Consumer packaging for fish products must comply with the established standards. In the course of processing of refrigerated and ice-cooled fish products previously washed crushed ice shall be used. Joint storage of difference types of fish products that may cause quality and packaging deterioration shall be prohibited.
