The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of Babinovichi biosphere reserve: 1) land reclamation and any other activity causing change of the natural landscape and the existing hydrological formation; 2) industrial fisheries; 3) damaging or disturbance of the natural soil; 3) clear final cutting; 4) water abstraction for irrigation and industrial water supply, discharge of sewage and waste disposal in water bodies; 5) clearing of riverside natural growth except for recreational areas; 6) slash-disposal fire; 7) carrying out forestry arrangements in the winter hibernation period of brown bear (November-March) and in the nesting period (April-July). The proclamation of Babinovichi biosphere reserve shall not entail the expropriation of land. The regional executive bodies shall be the managing authority of Babinovichi biosphere reserve. Land tenants must observe the regime of protected area and use ecofriendly processes. The damages caused to Babinovichi biosphere reserve shall be compensated by the legal and natural persons in conformity with the modalities established by law.
