Abstract This Decree creates the General Superintendency for the Development of Hydrographic Basins (SDBH) under the State Secretariat for Sustainable Development and Tourism, complying with Law No. 19.848 of 3 May 2019. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mention SDBH entitled to perform the following activities: propose and disseminate actions to encourage fishing tourism, as a factor of environmental, economic and social development; support the articulation with international, federal, state and municipal bodies and entities within the scope of its area of operation; participate in actions, studies and research on subjects related to its sphere of competence such as: a) restocking of fauna and flora; b) promote aquaculture systems; c) environmental education with the theme of hydrographic basins; d) protect and recover riparian forest and biodiversity corridors; propose and support the creation of green areas and/or conservation units in river basins; research projects both in the areas of fauna and flora and in the areas of tourism with private entities, being able to sign an agreement with the municipalities; carry out joint actions.
