This Decree enters into force on 29 June 2019.
Abstract

This Regulation establishes the procedure for detoxication of non-pathogenic genetically modified organisms. Waste generated in the process of genetic engineering shall be subject to detoxication (animal carcasses, dead plants, microorganisms), and remains of genetically-engineering organisms. Genetically modified organisms to be detoxicated shall be destroyed on equipment located in the experimental field and other facilities designed for testing and work with non-pathogenic genetically modified organisms. Detoxication shall take place in the presence of the following representatives: (a) legal entity or individual entrepreneur performing testing of genetically engineered organisms; (b) National Biosafety Coordination Center (with their consent); and (c) owner of the facility. Detoxication of non-pathogenic genetically modified organisms shall be legalized by Detoxication Act in accordance with the model form contained in the Annex 1.
