Abstract

Veterinary and Sanitary Regulation for the prevention, diagnosis and liquidation of animal listeriosis establishes mandatory requirements for legal and natural persons, including individual entrepreneurs, related to safety of works and services concerning keeping, breeding, reproduction, movement, trade, slaughtering of livestock, disposal, burial and destruction of carcasses of animals aimed at prevention, diagnosis and liquidation of animal listeriosis. In order to prevent animal listeriosis, legal entities and natural persons, including individual entrepreneurs, are obliged: (a) to ensure veterinary measures for keeping and exploitation of animals; (b) to perform formation of herds exclusively by animals from animal listeriosis free herds; (c) to perform within 30 days the quarantine of newly arrived animals for carrying out diagnostic studies; (d) to submit, at the request of specialists in the veterinary field of the State Veterinary Service of the Republic of Belarus, all necessary information about the animals purchased and create conditions for their clinical examination and diagnostic studies; (e) to re-group animals within agricultural organization by agreement with veterinary experts; (f) to ensure disinfection, disinfestation and deratization of the facilities for keeping animals and adjacent territory; and (g) to ensure that abortion, stillbirth and death cases are recorded and pathological material is sent to the veterinary laboratory for examination (testing). Veterinary and Sanitary Regulation for the prevention, diagnosis and liquidation of bird ornithosis establishes mandatory requirements for legal and natural persons, including individual entrepreneurs, related to safety of works and services concerning keeping, breeding, reproduction, movement, trade, slaughtering of livestock, disposal, burial and destruction of carcasses of animals aimed at prevention, diagnosis and liquidation of bird ornithosis. In order to prevent bird ornithosis, legal entities and natural persons, including individual entrepreneurs, are obliged: (a) to ensure veterinary measures for keeping, growing and breeding poultry; (b) at the request of veterinary to submit poultry for preventive vaccination; and (c) to perform within 30 days the quarantine of newly purchased ornamental and other birds. Veterinary and Sanitary Regulation for the prevention, diagnosis and liquidation of salmonellosis in animals establishes mandatory requirements for legal and natural persons, including individual entrepreneurs, related to safety of works and services concerning keeping, breeding, reproduction, movement, trade, slaughtering of livestock, disposal, burial and destruction of carcasses of animals aimed at prevention, diagnosis and liquidation of salmonellosis in animals. In order to prevent salmonellosis in animals, legal entities and natural persons, including individual entrepreneurs, are obliged: (a) to ensure veterinary measures for keeping and exploitation of animals; (b) to perform formation of herds exclusively by animals from salmonellosis in animals free herds; (c) to perform within 30 days the quarantine of newly arrived animals for carrying out diagnostic studies; (d) to submit, at the request of specialists in the veterinary field of the State Veterinary Service of the Republic of Belarus, all necessary information about the animals purchased and create conditions for their clinical examination and diagnostic studies; (e) to re-group animals within agricultural organization by agreement with veterinary experts; (f) to ensure disinfection, disinfestation and deratization of the facilities for keeping animals and adjacent territory; (g) to ensure that abortion, stillbirth and death cases are recorded and pathological material is sent to the veterinary laboratory for examination (testing); and (h) when animals are slaughtered, meat and organs are subject to mandatory laboratory examination (testing) for salmonellosis.
