Abstract

The forest Regulation consists of 7 sections dealing with: (a) general provisions (sect. 1); (b) forest organization (sect. 2); (c) preparatory work for forest organization (sect. 3); (d) organization of forest area and preparation for inventory (sect. 4); (e) inventory of forests and forest land (sect. 5); (f) the particulars forest management depending on end use of forests and intensity of forest management (sect. 6); (g) natural and economic conditions of forest management (sect. 7). Forest management is the system of inventory and registration of forest stock, arrangements aimed at the rational management thereof, conservation of protection and recreational forests, efficient reforestation and forestry protection measures. Forest management of public forest shall include: (a) mapping of forest land; (b) inventory defining composition, age, forest species, quantitative and qualitative characteristics of forests; (c) exposure of the forest areas requiring main, intermediate and cleaning felling. Forest management shall be periodic and continual; the former shall be carried out once in ten years while the latter shall be carried out annually.
