Abstract This Decree establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the permanent Interministerial Committee on Climate Change (CIM), entitled to monitoring the implementation of public actions and policies within the scope of the National Policy on Climate Change (PNMC). CIM will be an institutional instrument of the federal Executive Branch to coordinate government actions resulting from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), promulgated by Decree No. 2.652 of 1 July 1998, including the objective of climate neutrality.
