Abstract

This Decree establishes hygienic requirements for keeping territory of the populated areas and, in particular, concerns location and requirements for containers for collection of solid domestic waste, public toilets (composting toilets) and water-tight cesspits. Collection of domestic waste in the populated areas shall be carried out in accordance with domestic waste management scheme validated in accordance with the modalities envisaged by the national legislation. The following requirements shall be mandatory: (a) sewerage systems and rainwater collectors shall be kept in serviceable condition and shall be cleaned no less than twice a year; (b) unauthorized storage of domestic waste shall be prohibited; and (c) discharge of liquid domestic waste to sewerage system, rainwater collectors and waterbodies shall be prohibited.
