Abstract

The purpose of this Decree shall be to prevent iodine deficiency disorders by quality improvement of the iodinated salt manufactured on the national territory. Chief Sanitary Inspector decrees to prohibit the use of potassium iodide as an iodine additive of salt from 1 June 2000. Beginning form 1 July 2000 potassium iodate must be used as additive for salt for internal trade. Iodine contents of salt must be 40±15mkg/g until use-by date.
