This Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Decree creates the National Green Growth Programme under the Interministerial Committee on Climate Change and Green Growth (CIMV), established by Decree No. 10.845 of 25 October 2021, which will provide the necessary technical and administrative support for the implementation of the National Green Growth Programme. The objectives of this National Programme are: combine economic growth with with the sustainable development; improve the management of natural resources to encourage productivity, innovation and competitiveness; create green jobs; promote the conservation of forests and the protection of biodiversity; reduce greenhouse gas emissions, with a view to facilitating the transition to a low-carbon economy; stimulate the raising of public and private resources, destined to the development of the green economy, coming from national and international sources; and encourage research contributing to: a) the sustainable use of natural resources; b) the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions; c) conservation of forests; and d) the protection of biodiversity.
