This Decree enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Decree is composed of 3 articles and 13 Annexes. The standardization No. 161/1999 for the potable water and No. 162/1999 for the bottled potable water are to be adopted as the Lebanese standardization and Metrology (art. 1). The following laboratories are accredited and qualified for the control, analysis and testing the water: Industrial Research Institute, Department of the Public Health Laboratories and the Department of the Agricultural Scientific Research (art. 2). Maximum of the sensitive characteristics for the potable water (annex 1). Physical and chemical requirements for the potable water (annex 2). Maximum limits of bacteria in the potable water (annex 3). The technical terms (annex 6). Maximum limits of the sensitive characteristics for the bottled potable water (annex 1). The physical and chemical characteristics for the bottled natural water and bottled table water (annex.2). The allowed substances in the natural mineral water (annex. 3). The natural mineral water requirements (annex 4). The maximum limits of bacteria in the bottled potable water (annex 5). Test and analysis methods (annex 6). The technical terms (annex 7).
