Certification shall be applied for and applications shall be handled in accordance with rules contained in paragraph 1 of the Annex. An activity, in order to be eligible for certification, shall meet all requirements set out in paragraphs 2, 3 and 4 of the Annex. Requirements for installations and operation of a poultry farm are contained in para. 2A, and for hatcheries in para. 3B. Paragraph 3 contains general rules regarding animal health control, and paragraph 4 contains rules relative to control of diseases. Certificates may be withdrawn temporarily or definitively if these conditions are not met during operation.
