The present Regulation shall be applicable to forest management of the public forest exposed to radioactive pollution because of the Chernobyl disaster. Forest management on the territory exposed to radioactive pollution shall have as its purpose: (a) strengthening the ecological role of forests for the prevention of transfer of radionuclides outside polluted area; (b) protection against forest fires; (c) continuous management of forests on condition of obtaining radiation free timber and not exceeding annual radiation dose.
