Abstract This Decree of the Ministry of Health, which is composed of ten articles and one Annex, lays down sanitary requirements for composition, treatment and labeling surface of products intended for contact with potable water intended for human consumption, and the manner of execution and evaluation of migration tests and properties of the protocol of migration testing. The verification of the sanitary requirements is made with the use of methods according to the Slovak technical standards. If such methods do not exist or can not be applied for objective reasons, there can be applied appropriate methods relevant to the specified limits. Products intended to come into contact with water must be marked with: trade name and registered location of the manufacturer, distributor or importer; message: to come into contact with water, to come into short contact with water, to come into contact with warm water or to come into contact with hot water; information on the special conditions of use if required.
