Abstract In view of the importance for human health of the quality of water intended for human consumption, this Decree of the Ministry of Health, which is composed of eight articles and five Annexes, lays down details on drinking water quality, control of drinking water quality, monitoring and risk management of drinking water supply. Quality indicators of drinking water and their limits are set out in Annex 1. Control of drinking water quality may be carried out by sampling or analysis of drinking water sample points or by continuous measurements. The risk management for drinking water supply is based on the general principles of risk management as set out in technical standards concerning safety of drinking water supply and the guidelines for risk management and crisis management.
