Abstract The objective of this Decree Law is to define the principles of commercial transactions in fresh vegetables and fruits and define the management and inspection of wholesale markets. Wholesale markets could be set up by metropolitan municipalities, or by companies and individuals. Type-projects shall include sections for auction, storing, classification, packaging, and laboratory. Permission from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce is required. Considerations of the Interior Ministry will also be taken. All wholesale commercial transaction has to be realized through these markets in urban areas. Transactions by producers’ unions are exempted from this provision. Transactions for export purposes are also exempted. Wholesales in the markets could be made by the producers, producers’ unions, and brokers. Commercial activities among these parties are prohibited. Market management is defined in details.
