Abstract This Decree-Law approves the Regulation on Fish Products Inspection. This Regulation, consisting of 9 Chapters and 4 Annexes, specifies the hygiene and sanitary requirements and quality standard controls for any activity related to the: management, processing, treatment, packaging, storage, National or International trade of fish products destined to human consumption, according to Regime de Food Stuff Sanitary Control, approved by Decree No. 62-E/92. It also establishes controls to carried out in order to measure, test and analyze one or more characteristics of fish products, infrastructures, fishing vessels and any other equipment related to the above mentioned activity.
