Abstract This Decree-Law, consisting of 20 articles and 5 Annexes, regulates the concession for the Block 20 to the National Fuel Company of Angola - Economic State Unit (Sonangol-U.E.E.) of rights for mining, exploration, research, development and liquid and gas fuels within the area defined in Annex A. The Decree-Law defines the concessionary’s rights and obligations and regulates the participation of foreign companies in exploration activities. Particular attention is paid to the regulation of guaranties regarding national fuel consumption needs and the requirement of environmental protection measures for the area.
