Abstract This Decree-Law establishes a Temporary Intervention to Stabilize the Price of Rice on the Market, through the granting of a monetary subsidy to importing companies. This Decree-Law also determines the constitution of an additional safety stock of rice of 30,000 tons, to be kept in the warehouses of the National Logistics Center (CLN), intended for social intervention in emergency situations, namely floods, natural disasters, health reasons, social solidarity, for supply to wholesale companies in case of need. The granting of the monetary subsidy referred in applies to imported rice. The period of validity of the measure provided for is 180 days after its entry into force.
