Abstract

This Decree-Law establishes sanitary procedures in order to protect 'Apis mellifera' species. It consists of 13 articles and 2 annexes regulating apiculture and establishing the requirements to be satisfied by apicultors in order to perform the aforementioned activity (including information to be done for registering purposes). Apiculture activity must be approved by the General Direction of Veterinary DGV, speciying veterinary annual programme for the prevention of bee disease listed in annex 2 and requirements to be satisfied by protected areas.
