Abstract This Decree-Law approves the legal regime of land cadastre, establishes the National Cadastral Information System (SNIC) and the cadastral chart as the universal register of properties in the land cadastre regime. It also makes the first amendment of Law No. 3/2015 of January 9, regulating the regime of access and exercise of the professional activity of property registration, in accordance with Law No. 9/2009 of 4 March and Decree-Law No. 92/2010 of 26 July transposing Directives No. 2005/36/CE on the recognition of professional qualifications, and 2006/123/CE on internal market services. This Decree-Law applies to buildings and vacant lots existing in national territory and, with the necessary adaptations, to buildings in the public and private domain of the State. This decree-law applies to the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira, without prejudice to their respective legislative powers in terms of land registration.
