Abstract This Decree-Law composed of 38 articles, rules on the homologation system for plant protection products. In particular, it regulates the import of such products and the related inspections. It stipulates that the homologation shall be undertaken by the Sahelian Committee for Pesticides (C.S.P.). Moreover, it institutes the National Commission of Pesticides Management as a consultative body if the Ministry for Agriculture. Finally, it rules on the characteristics and requirements of plant protection products, its packaging, labelling, storage and commercialization. Full text Portuguese
