It establishes regulations to be applied for hotel industry performance and other touristic facilities in general, in order to preserve and valorise local socio-economic characteristics and natural environment, guaranteeing the quality of the National touristic sector. It also establishes the Ministry of Hotel and Tourism, which will be responsible for: promoting and orienting the exploitation and preservation of National touristic resource; orienting, regulating, controlling and supporting the hotel industry and other similar touristic facilities, etc. The Decree-Law is divided as follows: Ministry of Hotel and Tourism competencies and duties (Chap.
