Abstract

This Decree-Law ensures the implementation and guarantees compliance, in the national legal order, with Regulation (EU) No. 2016/2031, of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 26 October 2016, relating to protection against plant pests. It also ensures, with regard to the application in the field of protection measures against plant pests, the implementation and guarantees compliance, in the national legal order, with the obligations arising from Regulation (EU) No. 2017/625, of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 15 March 2017, on official controls and other official activities aimed at ensuring the application of food and feed legislation and rules on health and well-being animal health, plant health and plant protection products, in the field of protection measures against plant pests, hereinafter referred to as Regulation (EU) No. 2017/625, as well as its amendments and the implementing or delegated acts provided for therein. The phytosanitary protection measures against plant pests are applicable throughout the national territory.
