Abstract The Decree-Law amends Decree-Law No. 393-B/98 regulating feedstuff production and use in order to combat bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE). The amended articles specify prohibited and authorized additives in animal feedstuff (such as: animal and hydrolysed proteins, fish and bone meal, phosphates, etc.) in order to avoid the spreading of the aforementioned pest.
