Entry into force notes
This Decree-Law enters into force on the day after its publication.
Abstract

This Decree-Law, consisting of four Chapters divided in 43 articles, establishes the legal framework for disclosure and use of existing natural mining resources in the soil and subsoil (geological resources), whether or not in the public domain of the State, except for hydrocarbons. It also fixes the authorised and available areas, arrangements for the exploration, exploitation and licensing, and even specifically regulates the rights on public domain resources and restrictions of private legislation.
