Abstract This Decree-Law, composed of 55 articles divided in 6 Chapters, rules on the National system for air protection and control. It provides for the general National objectives, and defines the competent managing and monitoring authorities. In particular, it regulates the emissions regime and licensing procedures, providing air quality standards and limit values. Moreover, it rules on air pollutants control measures and on the general provisions for air quality management. Finally, it provides sanctions and penalties for non-compliance. Full text Portuguese
