Abstract

This Decree-Law amends Decree-Law No. 14/99 on protective measures against the introduction of organisms harmful to plants or plant products within national or EC countiries (including protected areas). Amended annexes establish new standards, sanitary requirements to be met and sanitary controls to be carried out by the competent authority. Prohibitions and sanctions to be paid for illegal activity are specified in the text. Annexes list harmful organisms; specific requirements and sanitary conditions to be met by imported/exported plants, in particular vegetables and fruits.
