Abstract

This Decree-Law regulates marine plants collection divided according to the different continental coastal area. It consists of 21 articles establishing the requirements to be satisfied in order to perform the aforesaid activity under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, which shall be entitled to regulate, manage and control the rational industrial exploitation of aquatic plant resources. This institution shall carry out research, planning and control programmes on the aquatic plants health. Licence fees for aquatic plant collection and sanctions for illegal activity are established in the text.
