Abstract This Decree-Law sets forth principles and tasks of the Ministry of Environment. Decree outlines the basic duties of the Ministry as: (i) design and formulate principles and policies for environmental protection, prepare corresponding programs; (ii) prepare and implement environmental arrangement plans; (iii) specify corresponding technology for environmental protection and preventing pollution and specify specifications of related facilities; (iv) specify country-related environmental standards; (v) environmental inspections; (vi) ensure cooperation and coordination among private and public institutions and agencies; (vii) promotional efforts on environmental affairs.
