Abstract This Decree-Law regulates potato seed production, control and certification. It consists of 33 articles and 2 annexes defining the requirements to be met by such products in order to place them on the market. It establishes that the National Centre for Agricultural Product Protection (CNPPA), under the Ministry of Agriculture, shall be the competent authority for carrying out the aforementioned controls on potato seed. Annexes list potato's varieties and sanitary requirements to be met for obtaining a certificate.
