Abstract

This Decree-Law approves the EC Council Directive No. 92/59 of 29 June on general safety product requirements. It consists of 19 articles specifying food quality standards in order to guarantee food safety. A Commission entitled to carry out controls and manage this sector is established (composition, competencies and duties are specified in the text).
