Abstract This Decree-Law defines a set of support measures for micro, small and medium-sized companies (MSMEs). It applies to MSMEs incorporated and registered in the national territory. MSMEs aimed at developing activities in the areas of: prospecting, research and production of gas and oil and the mineral resources extractive industry, as well as MSMEs that develop activities regulated in specific legislation, are excluded from the application of this Decree-Law. The Ministry of Tourism, Commerce and Industry, through the National Directorate of Support and Development for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, is responsible for monitoring the execution of the implementation process of this Decree-Law and ensuring the necessary procedures to achieve the objectives of promoting and supporting MSME.
