Entry into force notes
This Decree-Law shall enter into force 90 days after publication.
Abstract

This Decree-Law establishes the legal regime for livestock and meat trade. It consists of 3 chapters establishing the sanitary requirements to be met in order to perform trade activity in: bovine, sheep and goats, swine and equidae; b) Meat - all parts destined to human consumption (of the specified animal species); c) Fresh meat - those meat treated only by frozen methods conservation; d) Meat products - treated meat or animal products.
