Abstract This Decree-Law regulates the conditions to be met by planting material in order to be placed on the market. It consists of 6 chapters establishing the standards and conditions to be satisfied by the aforementioned material in order to be traded. This Decree-Law applies for: a) trees and any shrub producing fruit; b) forestry plants; c) ornamental plants; d) spices and medical plants; e) vegetable; f) other plant for economic use. It specifies plant certification to be issued by the competent authority.
