Abstract This Decree-Law creates the Timor-Leste Tourism Authority (ATTL, I.P) and approves its Statute. The creation of this Authority is a priority proposed in the 2020 Economic Recovery Plan. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of this Authority, entitled to regulate, promote and enhance the business and sustainability of tourism. The Timor-Leste Tourism Authority. This Tourism Authority, is an authority supervised by the member of the Government responsible for the area of tourism, whose mission is to train, coordinate, monitor and develop the private and public sector, contributing to the promotion and strengthening tourism and the economic development of the country. The Tourism Authority is also responsible for qualifying and developing tourist infrastructures, developing the qualification and training of human resources, supporting investment in the tourism sector, promoting the creation of knowledge about the sector and coordinating the internal and external promotion of Timor-Leste as a tourist destination.
