Abstract

This Decree-Law implements EC Council Directive No. 97/79 setting up a harmonised safety regime for fishing vessels of 24 metres in length and over. It consists of all the requirements to be satisfied by fishing vessels exceeding 24 metres and intended to perform commercial fishing activity within the waters under Portuguese jurisdiction divided by areas (including necessary equipment to be kept on board).
