Abstract This Decree-Law creates the Port Institution of the Centre - IPC ('Instituto Portuário do Centro') under the Ministry of Land Planning and extinguishes the Autonomous Association of the Cetral Ports and 'Figueira da Foz Association' ('Junta Autónoma dos Portos do Centro' and 'Junta Autónoma do Porto da Figueira da Foz'). It consists of 13 articles and 1 annex establishing composition, competencies and duties of this institution settled in 'Figueira da Foz'. IPC manages those ports under its jurisdictional area, in order to perform harbour economic exploitaion, conservation and development (including for land facilities).
