Abstract

This Decree-Law approves the norms regarding water quality for human consumption , implementing Council Directive No. 98/83/CE, 3 November regarding the aforesaid subject. It is composed of 25 articles and III Annexes: 5) general obligations; 6) quality standards; 8) quality guarantee; 9) sanitary surveillance; 11) supervision; 12) chemical products and materials in contact with the water; 13) human consumption water quality promotion 16) reports; 17) communication to the EC; 18) accomplishment dates; 20) test laboratories; 22) penalties; 23) autonomous regions. Annex I relates to microbiological parameters; II water quality control; III specifications of parameter analyses.
