The Regulation specifies offences and penalties to be paid for any related activity without the prior authorization issued by the Directorate of Livestock. In particular, it specifies that any living animals illegally slaughtered are subject to the quarantine regime because of pest, disease or other reasons, and the owner must assume all expenses even when the animals will be rejected and sent back immediately to the country of origin or even be slaughtered, incinerated and buried.
