Abstract This Decree-Law, consisting of 21 articles divided into two Chapters and one Annex, establishes the structure of the Anti-Corruption Commission (CAC) implementing Law No. 8/2009 of 15 July. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Commission. The CAC is a specialized and technically independent police body, entitled to perform its functions on its own initiative in relation to prevention, investigation and public awareness actions related to corruption crimes, without prejudice to subordination to the judicial authorities in the context of the investigation and to obtaining evidence in the terms of criminal procedural law.
