Abstract This Decree-Law, consisting of 17 articles and 3 Annexes, aims at approving the hygiene and sanitary regulations for any food stuff destined to be put on the market, in order to guarantee human health and a better protection of consumers. This Decree-Law does not appply for private domestic consumption, in any phase of its production, such as: primary, preparation, processing and storage; to the marketing of small quantity of food stuff directly supplying the final consumer or the local marketing, within the limits prescribed in Anex III.
