Abstract This Decree-Law, consisting of 23 articles, establishes the rules to be applied to maritime equipment for being manufactured or marketed in the country or to being installed on domestic vessels subject to safety certification, under the provisions of international conventions. The provisions of this Decree-Law shall not apply to the following sectors: a) seafarers equipment on national vessels prior to the date of its entry into force; b) marine equipment to be installed or already installed on warships.
