Entry into force notes
This Decree-Law enters into force on the day after its publication.
Abstract

This Decree-Law, consisting of 12 articles and 1 Annex, creates the General Direction for Energy and Geology (DGEG). It establishes competencies, duties and composition of the above mentioned Direction, entitled to contribute to design, promote and assess policies related to energy and geological resources, in a sustainable development framework. In addition aims at contributing at defining, implementing and assessing policies on energy and carrying out research on the identification of geological resources exploitation, promoting and participating in the legal framework according to the sustainable development, production, transport, supply, storage, trade and use of energy, etc.
